Appleation
Part 1 of 2 in our “Cider with Hops” series.
One of the things we always get asked is... “What’s the future of beer? What’s the next trend?” and we’ve always thought that the long tail of alcoholic beverages is going to grow, allowing for more and stranger blends and fermentations to enter the market. This is a pretty great example - just check the back of this can. It’s a weirdo combination of beer AND cider and the production involves a lot of understanding of multiple ingredients and techniques and using hops from all over the world (side note: I don’t know that “New England Style Cider” actually refers to any specific technique). All to make a tasty beverage for you. The only confounding thing is... How is Angry Orchard responsible for something that isn’t just a sugar bomb?
